The Fire Conclave Burn Night
Burn Night. The culmination. The ritual that brought us here.
The Fire Conclave was created specifically for this night. The ritual of lighting the Man on fire is what feeds us. Tonight join us as we recreate these traditions and come together to burn.
Burn Night activities within the Great Circle begin with the Procession. Traditionally on Burn Night, the fire that has been burning all week long is transferred to a special lantern called the Luminferous. The Procession, with the ceremonial flame as its core, processes to the Great Circle where the largent convergence of Fire Performers (the Fire Conclave) utilizes that same flame to start their dances dedicated to the Man. As the Procession makes its way around the Great Circle, a torchbearer from each Sentinel Team will approach the Luminferous as it passes, light their torch from its flame, and return to their post to hold space for between Fire Conclave Groups. The Great Circle slowly becomes illuminated…and the performances begin.
Tonight we rise above adversity and recreate our rituals via Zoom. Join us as we gather and perform once again as the Fire Conclave.
